Teenager arrested following serious assault in Truro

A teenager has been arrested following a serious assault in Truro on the weekend. Police are appealing for information following the incident which occurred at around 12.20am on Sunday 6th February in Boscawen Street, outside Samuels Jewellers.
A male victim was punched and kicked by a group of men in an unprovoked attack which left him with fractures to his face.
Police are particularly keen to trace the driver of a dark coloured estate vehicle parked outside the Burtons Store which the victim ran to during his assault thinking it was a taxi.

A 19 year old local man has been released on police bail until 4th May pending further enquiries.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the identity of the potential witness in the estate vehicle.
