Sennen Farmers' Market has recently won the Cornwall Life food and drink award for the best farmers' market.

The Awards give valuable recognition to producers, growers, suppliers and hospitality venues around the region and celebrates their achievements.
Other categories included best restaurant, best independent food producer and best organic product of the year.
Sennen Market was shortlisted alongside Truro and Lostwithiel farmers' markets, and won by receiving the most votes from its customers during the two months of voting.
The market, which runs every Tuesday from 9-12pm, sells an array of local produce which the aim of providing an outlet for the food and craft producers in the area to sell direct to the community.
Naomi Gorvin who has been running Sennen Market since it began in May 2009 explains, "We sell really, really reasonably priced produce which is a common misconception of some farmers' markets."

"You can buy everything from meat and fish to bread and vegetables as well as buying products from some of our really talented crafts producers."
"Sennen is an isolated community and access to public transport and shops is limited, the market gives people a chance to buy all of their essential goods without having to travel to the local supermarket."
Originally set up to bring local food directly to Sennen and the surrounding villages, Sennen Market has evolved into one of West Cornwall's biggest markets often attracting hundreds of people every week.
Hugely popular with tourists in the high season, Sennen Market has been attracting an average of 500 people a week.
The Market has become a focal point for the community with many using the café area as a meeting point each week, "It is an amazingly vibrant and successful community event."
"This award is great because it recognises the hard work put in by lots of people."
