Police in Newquay swoop over a fatal shooting in London.

Four men and three women in the twenties have been arrested in the resort.

They are being questioned over the death of a man in Harrow last week.
Detective Chief Inspector Tim Duffield said: “Following a joint operation involving officers from the Metropolitan Police Service and Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, seven people have been arrested in Newquay in connection with the recent murder of Lee John Hook.

"I understand that recent police activities in Newquay may have raised concerns amongst local people, but would like to stress that the police operation has been successful and there is no threat to public safety.

"I would urge anyone who has information relating to Mr Hook’s death, which followed a shooting in Harrow on October 22, to come forward. All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
