Picture Postcards Around Penzance

The Market House before alterations.
Another fantastic gem! Looks better in its rounded state I think.
And there's Treeve's old chimney!

Not my old chimney, but it was something that Peter Pool used to admire and mention a a lot.
I see this is a Gibson, the Simpsons sign is not there and I suspect this is the beginning of the FG Drewitt changes; drinking fountain still in place on the near corner. With all honesty this building should not have been built here.

Joseph Baldwin Haddons closed down in 1928, became Truform and now a betting shop. The road looks better than other scenes, this may be the road surfacing works. Road surface was simply 'composition'. The little box on the near corner was the lamp pilot light feed and mechanism.
