I see Cavendish Boarding House ... on the end of Beachfield, was it? I don t remember cottages set back with gardens? I feel a search coming on !!

Yes, I remember now ... these cottages were cleared before and I was involved with the work on Beachfield Court (even had my artist s sketches in the Cornishman), I think that was 1965 or so; this is at the far end of the Promenade, yes. As to date, if you know when he was born, I would guess his age and add that. Not forgetting, we looked older than our ages then. We had a lot to do and a lot to worry about. We responded to it all in a different way. We either were angry young men or we just laughed it up

the one on the left looks like Jack Roberts, together with cottages there were two Steven s serpentine shops, the cavandish boarding house became the Carlton Hotel next door was the Commercial and then the Beachfield Hotel..........

certainly looks like the Jack Roberts of my era maybe its his father being in that age bracket...I worked with your Dad back in the 50 s
