Clarence Street

One of the posters is for a concert by Henry Wendon, a tenor who was performing from mid 1920s until after WWII so doesn't narrow down the date much.
Missed this photo when it first went up ::17:::12: How wonderful to see the bottom of Clarence Street before the sorting office. Were these building houses, shops, offices or what, I wonder?
 
What a fascinating picture.... Thanks for uploading this. I wonder if they are offices as per denanmor's suggestion.
 
Not finished this one yet, but the shop hard left was a Religious book shop, I think - have a picture somewhere.
