Crossing 1963

Bottom of Causewayhead in 1963; In the second siting of the Green Market Cross, Green Cross Code? Much better to stand in the road with eyes shut. Midland Bank to the left; intermediate Timothy Whites to the right, note the road and pavements, no pedestrain precinct then, where people can now walk safely without hindrance from traffic..... yeah, right !
Ahh yes the road and pavements.....And what about the sign (to lands End) is that still there today? Its like riding on the dogems with the traffic!! ::15: ::15:

Well, there is no sign of it. And HSBC have so disguised their origins as to remove No.1 from the door head, it s a wonder anyone knows where they are now !! ;) By the way, I chose pede strain deliberately sad#

Thank you ... We live in a different world, with different values (if any).

That is it ... they were ladies. (I do not deny that there are a lot of ladylike women out there now, it was just that it was more obvious then). They did not look like a walking jumble sale.

I submit, your worships, that I am referring to the younger ladies, of which present company are prime examples. Still you wear the best make up for your personalities, that rare modern commodity .... a smile. A smile that spreads from the eyes.
