adelaide street

fish and chip shop
Once upon a time when boys wore jerkin coats and short trousers, and at the time didn’t notice what the girls were wearing, there was an adventure playground in the town. Children owned all the land between Adelaide St. and Mount St. and roamed at will building whatever took their imagination. Beneath whatever is built there now should be found the ruins of Fort Zinderneuf, Dodge City, El Alamein, Tortuga Harbour, Jungles of Burma - - - -- - - the Lost Kingdom of Camberwell.

I remenber it as Hazel's I think the surname was Legg. She was an aunt to Mark Hitchins an old friend of mine
