Drivers in Cornwall are being warned that roads across the county could be dangerously icy after a severe frost.
Temperatures were down to -7C in some places overnight and are unlikely to rise again until 1100 GMT, forecasters said.
Cornwall Council's Highways Department is urging drivers to take extra care again, especially on untreated roads.
The gritters will attempt later to reach some of the major villages which have not been treated so far.
'Particularly slippery'
Jeremy Edwards from County Highways said: "Our gangs have been out since 4am and treated the A and B roads.
"I've now tasked them to go to all major villages and try and get access into them.
"But those roads are particularly slippery. People should exercise real caution when they're driving on them."
The BBC travel news website reported that the A395 at Launceston was closed both ways at the Pipers Pool junction because of ice and an accident.
Forecasters says temperatures are are not due to rise higher than 4C on Monday.
