The front row, second lady, was Miss Williams who taught History. I suspect that the front row first lady was Mrs. Petters. The man standing behind Mr. Rising was Mr. Wood(s) who taught English.
I suspect that Freddie Hodson came in as a supply in about '49; all I can remember is a story of him riding a penny-farthing! The one time I remember Rising at all human is when Freddie died: he said a prayer in assembly for "Frederick Nathan Hodson…" and his voice broke. Doug Powell
