This is the stretch tpp, only we looked at it in the other direction and across the road. The river runs straight, right down to the lodge and part of the avenue of trees is still there as well as some of the metal fence posts.
Not as such, Pasty Man; as it passes between Alverton and Alexandra Road, the river is inaccessible. The closest route would be to follow Love Lane down to the boating lake.
When we were young kids, we had plans to get our wellies on, start at the boating pond and wade up the river to see how far we could get. Never did it though as we were scared we'd get told off by someone as we made our way up. Different times then. Funny, it probably would have been a bit risky, but we never thought about that - it was the potential 'telling off' that stopped us. Still would like to do it now!
Did that walk last year, made it through most of the length, one section is rather deep in heavy flow, and is too risky. I want to get to that section on the bank. But, other than that short section, I have pictures of the entire length up to the 'reservoir' and mill leat.
