R V and H Davy

Taken as the shop was closed for the last time, this is RV and H Davy the wine merchants. I remember bottles of obscure wines and spirits, the old wooden cabinet and the fine grandfather clock in the corner.
This is R.V and H Davy not A. H.and operated under the name from early 1900s or just before, producing its own pop and ginger beers in bottles bearing the name and a elephants head as a crest.

Nice one, HH! How well I remember this scene from yesteryear! When I was drumming with the Layabouts, and practising in the lower section of the Star that was then No. 1, New Street, Nigel Uren of the Blue Caps was practising above the RV & H Davy premises managed by his father. However, he had a Ludvig drumset while I had a mere cut-price Olympic one!
