Is that to say that it will one day be completed as shown in the model illustrated by the chap Iliffe who was writing in favour of it? I suffer from an ambivalence on this count. It looks like an exciting final result.
An electric shock is exciting also as a final result, but not necessarily recommended. It appears to me to be a highly volatile/toxic organisation, constantly under change and movement. What has to be rememberd with all such proposals, is that it does not come free, neither can the project be completed without some loss to amenity and landscape. I have marine reservations and nautical reservations. There is also the matter of the link with Mousehole to Penzance and so on. I have been told of problems in forming the waterway and 'lake'. I have no doubt that engineers have surveyed and made extensive reports, but let's remember the whole space was blasted out with explosives, exposing rock with 'questionable' content and rock that is bound to be fissured, and perhaps even voided.
