Penzance view from Newlyn.

Picked this up at the carboot at the weekend , any ideas if a known picture and any idea as to date please, any info welcome. Can clearly see stacks at Wherrytown, and guess taken from the end of Newlyn Green.
Could it be that the wall on the left is butted to the old quay in Newlyn?as the market was located there.

The question is in that case, where is Newlyn Brook? I am also looking at welb1931 s picture and one that I have, in Time Past of this same wall, but standing by the rear of the cart that has a white horse.

That is what I am thinking as well, the cart tracks run across the front of the wall, and to the right, in a straight line.

I know that sea bed here altered as a result of the piers, this is fascinating as it agrees with the welb1931 picture, I have to check my maps as well, maybe tomorrow, I will get a chance to give this a really close look. The rocks are nothing like the present layout on waterline. I need to make some calculations on isostasis as well, to see what is happening, after all it is well over a hundred years ago.

A very good pic....just wandering have you any more? very glad that you have shared with us....Thank you ::15:
