The M V Poleire was registered in Cyprus and weighed in at 2300 tons.
In April 1970 whilst on a voyage from Ireland to Poland she struck the little kettle rock just off Tresco island. It was thick with fog at the time but the crew failed to hear the fog horn.
All the crew made it to safety
