Men @ work

Health and safety gone mad!
Would you Adam and Eve it. Snapped today on the terrace a solid steel framed sign approximately 3.5 feet from the ground. Imagine a mother walking down the street talking to her child in the pushchair and wham!
or a partially sighted or blind person?

Vote for this one if you think it's the best this year!
I wont be too surprised if it gets moved to a more appropiate location soon! we can only hope....

Responsibilty of scaffolders, contractors, HSE, Cornwall Council, Police amongst others. Should be coned off or pole netting/taped in this position.

I'm sure the council banned the use of freestanding advertising boards outside shops in MJS and CWH for health and safety reasons a while back. From this picture, these don't help as they would have been placed here after the stupidly placed scaffolding sign.

I suppose the argument runs that 'litter bins' are not considered to be an obstruction, so 'why can't we put out our boards'. Personally I find boards irritating and obstructing, just what happens with a person with visual impairment, I would hate to imagine. Any sign that declares that work is going on overhead from a scaffold is rather stating the b*@@ding obvious anyway.
