Happy Return FE5
ex-Britannia LN224
Built 1904 by Kitto of Porthleven for the Folkestone fleet and funded by public subscription, the Happy Return was donated to the owner after his boat, the ‘Good Intent’ sank during a storm and was found to be under insured. She was decommissioned in 1998, and brought to Penzance to be restored by the newly formed Mounts Bay Lugger Association. Since her restoration she has been a regular visitor to the many classic boat festivals on this side of the channel and also in Brittany, France.
