Grace

Grace - ex PZ8, ex Britannia FY 729. This fishing lugger was built in Mevagissey, in 1903, by esteemed local shipwright Henry Roberts, of pitch pine on oak. She is 40 feet long, with a beam of 13 ft, drawing 6.6ft of water. She spent her fishing career as a pilchard driver, and a long-liner, based in Mevagissey, and later in Porthleven, on the far reaches of Mounts Bay. She has now been converted back to a dandy-rigged lugger, and is used for extensive cruising, in home waters and abroad. She is number 109 on the Historic Ships Register Designated vessels list.
