Is this the walk we used to do? We used to walk from Newlyn, I think we went up a lane/road the bridge side of Jelberts ice creamery. On to a lane / footpath up to Mount Misery, and we d catch the bus to St Just. I used to find the walk scary as a child as it was sometimes dark. We also did it from Mount Misery in the day time. Mum s family were in Newlyn so we went there a lot. I ve got weird memories of the walk. I thought there was an old train in the forest along the way, and all sorts of things, oh yes we used to pass courting couples at the Newlyn end. I had no idea what that was all about ha ha
