While lunching in a rather over-priced restaurant/bar run by a Bulgarian of all things, I took this shot of a photograph on the wall which admirably shows one aspect of the Scillonian way of the past. The south-facing 'Golden Mile' between Penzance and Long Rock also owes much of its fertility to sand and seaweed.
