Tonight after a bit of huffing and puffing the tree for Christmas 2009 went up. A Nordman which does not drop its needles as quickly as a Spruce standing at just over 11 feet. We will allow it to rest for 24 hours and dress it over the weekend.
We are both very pleased with it. Our third Christmas here and we both agree this is probably the best tree yet, although the previous incumbents were beautiful. Yes I did have help, too heavy for missp to hold on her own while I go up and down a ladder to fix the ropes.
It will have a working toy railway around it when finished.
