Mahonia Japonica [?] in Barwis Hill

I suspect that this shrub may be from the South Seas, particularly as I believe its owner comes from Fiji. Penzancemaid tells me that it is definitely a Mahonia, possibly Mahonia Japonica. Its flowers are very fragrant.
