Ancient warrior's tomb, Hayle.

'Here Genui fell asleep in 500. Here in his tomb he lies. He lived 28 (?) years' This is followed by letters I cannot decipher and a Latin inscription, 'Hic Genvi...etc.' Anyone able to supply more info on this? It is found up on the 'castle' as you arrive in Hayle.
Apparently the granite pillar was found in 1843 at four feet depth, when work was going on at Carnsew; it was fragile and broke into three. The slate panel is set beside to original granite, with as best was transcribed from the Latin and translated as best they could into English. There is some question as to the name Cenvi or Genui; or Cunaide; the slate you have in the picture is 1843, and the granite pillar was cAD 533.
