What is it about steam trains that draw crowds? Must be that the steam and smoke belching monsters have more character that today s diesel thingos

I think that sometimes progress covers the past, scenes and times like this can be captured on camera, but to have been there was something that, unless you have experienced it it is difficult to explain, twas brill!!!!!
