Owned and operated by Jeremy Fields in the mid 1980s. This picture was taken by a child in a pram! no I'm only joking. But it is a rather unusual position. supplied by Di and Den
Mrs Cooper ran the little shop her two sons ran the ambulance after the war one son lost his life when they went to aid an injured soldier clearing mines on the eastern green beach
 
Tragedy strikes beyond wars, as my great uncle found. It is good to have this remembrance of someone who lost his life, in connection with this picture.
 
It was in the Cornishman on Thurs, there's a possability it will re-open again soon.
 
Thanks Symons55, brought Cornishman on Friday, but havent read it yet, just took a look now.... what a shame...
