Looking across to basin towards Abbey slip. Nothing much has changed here over the years. But look at the sign on the Abbey hotel. It says antiques, and note the advertising on the wall halfway down the slip.

I have just made a photographic survey of the quay and access across the water front - stones are on the move, the wall is bowing out under the surcharge, spaces in the masonry. That access road across from slip to slip was built much later, it looks quite new here.
