A plaque honouring the memory of Charles Greenhaugh.

The St Austell Brewery set up this memorial on the Ship, Mousehole, to the bravery of one of their popular landlords who went down with the lifeboat, the Solomon Browne, lost with all hands on 19th December, 1981. I can picture him well myself after Mousehole Male Voice Choir practices when we went in the Ship afterwards for a bit of 'toot'.
