A pic from lower down

Shows a wider view (Parker's fire aftermath, picture supplied by 61triumph)
This picture was posted up by 61triumph to follow his other picture of the Parkers fire; it does not have a question attached; we will shift them to another album later, as they are of great historical importance.

Surely this is way further up Market Jew Street than Parkers?! The railings don t go that far for one thing. Isn t the present Boots building on the far right? Or was Parkers somewhere else before it moved to the branwell s mill building?

It was, I think we have mentioned this before on the Branwell s (so called) Mill building (that is actually the Granary). You can see Holmans which is now the closed MandCo.

Sorry missed all that! ::17:::12: I m just too young, that s my problem laugh# I never knew there was such a big fire in the middle of MJS before. Just assumed it happened in the other building. Well, you learn a new thing every day ::15:
